Kate joined the Draths group in December of 2020 and is working on using cis-CaaD and Cg10062 as a means to produce C3 and C4 chemicals from C1 feedstocks. She hopes to use enzyme kinetics and crystallography to fully understand the mechanism of these enzymes towards the production of malonic acid. Outside of the lab, her hobbies include music, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Juniper!
